Today, seven months have passed on the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, the popular and handsome actor of Bollywood. On this day in June 2020, he was found dead in his flat in Bandra. The Mumbai Police called it a suicide. But Sushant Singh Rajput’s fans, general audience and many Bollywood celebs called it a murder. Post-mortem report after Mumbai police also described it as suicide. In this report, the cause of his death was stated as suffocation.
However Sushant’s family, friends and fans could not believe this report. Sushant’s father KK Singh accused Riya Chakraborty of forgery, cheating and money laundering at Rajendra Nagar police station in Patna. After this, Bihar Police also got involved in the investigation of the case. Meanwhile, there were disputes between Bihar Police and Mumbai Police. Bihar Police accused Mumbai Police of not cooperating.
CBI investigation on the recommendation of Bihar government
After this, the matter went to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court ordered a CBI inquiry into the matter. The CBI investigation was recommended by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. During the hearing of the verdict, the Supreme Court had questioned the action of the Mumbai Police. After this, a special team of AIIMS was formed and investigation started from a different angle. In this, the NCB also started an investigation into the drugs case and arrested Sushant’s girlfriend Riya Chakraborty and his brother Shouvik Chakraborty.
